Music and Web Design

Thanks for coming.

I am a Webmaster by trade and a guitarist/musician by heart.

I started playing bass in 1968 (at age 12) and switched to guitar in 1972 (when I first heard Allman Brothers Live at the Fillmore). I played in Rock bands for most of my music career (including most of my work as a studio guitarist in NYC, as well), but I always had a heart for the blues.

I stopped playing professionally in 1983 and became a real estate executive to pay the bills. I heard Stevie Ray for the first time in '89 and was inspired. I dusted off the old LesPaul (in the picture to the right) and started playing just for fun again.

In 1998 I became the alternate guitarist for NJ's "Herd o' Blues" for a year or two, filling in whenever one of the regular guitarists couldn't make it. In September 2003 I bought Cakewalk Music Creator, Sound Forge 6.0 & Acid Pro 4.0. That started 5 years of composing, arraigning, recording and producting music digitally

While I mostly play the blues, the majority of my compositions are more of a smooth jazz.

I owe a lot to my online friends at The Acid Exchange Musicians and Artists Guild.

Peace,

David Brimlow
